CHAMPION PARENTING, INC. was organized in 2010, to educate and promote positive parenting skills through direct and indirect consultation. It is the goal of this corporation to empower parents with the knowledge and resources that will encourage and promote positive children in our schools and in the work force.
Champion Parenting recognizes:
1. Parenting education is complex and a critical part of a child’s success.
. 2. With budget cuts affecting our schools, parents will need to sharpen
existing skills.
3. New parenting strategies must be learned if children are to compete
successfully in a global world.
Children and young adults are under more pressure today in terms of peer competition in school and in their personal lives than ever before. Parents are desperately trying to be “good parents” and are constantly thinking “What will work best for my child?” All parents want their child to succeed in school and in life but often do not know how to go about achieving this goal. The importance of confident parenting cannot be overstated.
Let us forget about the FCAT, for just a moment and begin to focus our attention on what really will make the difference in the lives of children. These four words, "parental involvement and supervision" should be the focus of what really matters. After all, parents are a child’s first teacher. It is unfortunate that children do not come with a manual at birth that provides instruction for raising children, however, I am here to bring the good news that everyone can learn to become a champion parent.
What does it take you ask?
It takes parenting skills that you learn, practice and share. You will learn the strategies and techniques that can truly make a difference beginning with preschool and continuing through college. Parenting is a life long commitment that will produce wonderful results if you stay the course, and never give up on your child!
Being a parent and educator for over 20 years, I have witnessed many issues that parents are facing both in our schools and in life. I want to encourage you with the confidence needed to give your child the competitive edge both in school and in life. Children need not only our love but our direction if they are to be productive with their lives. By starting off with a positive approach, I guarantee you will feel empowered to want to become a champion parent. After all, this is a dream we all hold dear to our heart. Who doesn’t want their child to grow up confident, skilled, healthy and happy!
